Co-Chairman of Jatiya Party, former Minister of State for Women and Child Affairs, Chairman of Jamuna Group Advocate Salma Islam MP said, not for votes, poor and helpless people are suffering, so I stand by them from that feeling.

He said these things while distributing blankets among the cold people at Bagmara Court Bhavan premises of Nawabganj Upazila of Dhaka on Wednesday.

Former State Minister Salma Islam called upon the wealthy class of the society to stand by the helpless people.

Directing the leaders and workers of the Jatiya Party to work for the welfare of the people, he said, we must remember that we are doing politics for the country and the people. National Carpet believes in continuity of development.

On this day, Advocate Salma Islam MP along with party leaders and workers distributed blankets to thousands of people in upazila Kalakopa, Bandura, Yasrail, Shikaripara, Nayanshri, Baruakhali, Jaykrishnapur.
