One person was killed in a road accident in Palashbari. The accident took place at Maheshpur on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway of Palashbari upazila.

On Tuesday (December 20) around 11 am, a passenger of a motorcycle coming from Rangpur suddenly fell off the motorcycle and was crushed under a truck coming from the other side. Afshar Ali (45) died on the spot.

Deceased Afsar Ali (45) son of deceased Abdur Rahim of Bet village of Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat district.

In the incident, the driver of the motorcycle and the truck fled from the spot and could not be identified.
