Police arrested two drug dealers in Sunamganj’s Tahirpur along with consignment of foreign liquor.

The arrested are Tofazzal Hossain, son of deceased Churat Mia of Badaghat Bazar, Badaghat Union of Upazila, Nahid Mia, son of Mostak Mia of Binnakuli village. The two drug dealers who were arrested on Monday afternoon have been sent to the district jail through the court. Sunamganj district police media cell confirmed the information in the afternoon.
Earlier on Sunday at around 1:30 a.m., police raided the Borokhara-Ekta Bazar road on the way from the border area of the upazila and arrested the two drug dealers along with a consignment of foreign liquor and a motorcycle.

The media cell of Sunamganj district police also informed that a smart team of police led by OC Syed Iftekhar Hossain of Tahirpur Police Station along with officers of police station and Badaghat Police Investigation Center on Sunday night raid on Borokhara-Ekta Bazar road found 84 bottles of foreign liquor of different brands and a 100 cc motorcycle. seize Tofazzal and Nahid, who were accompanying the drug smugglers, were arrested in the operation, but another top drug dealer along the border managed to escape.
