A girl named Shapla Akhter (17) of Baracheg village of Shamshernagar union of Kamalganj upazila committed suicide by hanging a rope around her neck with the arrow of the house. Shapla Akter is the daughter of Raich Mia of Baracheg village.

It is known that on Tuesday (December 13) at 12:30 in the afternoon Shapla Akhtar, a girl of Baracheg village, committed suicide by hanging a rope against the wall of the house. At that time, Amja Begum, the mother of the deceased, went to the neighboring house to pay the installment of the NGO loan. Later, when the mother came home, she found the girl hanging from the back door without hearing any sound and quickly recovered the body. He said that the girl was mentally unstable.

Shamshernagar police outpost sub-inspector Sohel Rana confirmed the incident and said that the girl committed suicide due to mental imbalance. The deceased’s body has been sent to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital morgue for postmortem examination. A case of death has been registered at Kamalganj police station in this incident.
