Bandarban Correspondent: National Youth Day-22 was celebrated in Bandarban with the theme ‘Trained youth developed country, Bangabandhu’s Bangladesh’.Bandarban Hill District Council and Directorate of Youth Development have organized various programs in the district and upazila to celebrate the day.

Chairman of Bandarban Hill District Council Kyaw Shwe Hla was present as the chief guest at the function of National Youth Day at Bandarban Minorities Cultural Institute on Tuesday (November 1).

Superintendent of Police Md.Tariqul Islam, PPM,Deputy Director of Local Government Department,Md.Lutfur Rahman,Member of Bandarban Hill District Council K.Ne Wan Chak were present as special guests. Deputy Director of Directorate of Youth Development,Bandarban Saifuddin Md Hasan Ali presided over the discussion.

At the beginning of the day,youths participated in the cleaning of various educational institutions and markets of the district.Later blood donation program was held at Bandarban Sadar Hospital.

A discussion meeting was also held at Bandarban Minorities Cultural Institute.At the end of the meeting,a total of Tk 5 lakh 70 thousand loans were distributed among 10 entrepreneurs.Later certificates were distributed among 8 trainees and registration certificates were given to five youth organizations of the district.

Besides,the chairman of Bandarban Hill District Council Kyaw Shwe Hla handed over the crest to Sanjeev Tanchangya,the successful integrated farm in Naikshyongchari,Sita Tanchangya,the successful woman of the district headquarters,Mong Hla Pru,the successful organizer of Rowangchhari Upazila.
