An elderly pedestrian was killed when a truck ran over him in Ratanpur of Madhavpur upazila on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway. This accident happened around 3:30 pm on Friday.

The name and address of the dead man was not found. However, the police said that his age is approximately 70 years.

Residents said that the deceased old man was going from one side of the highway to the other. At that time, a truck hit him and he died on the spot.

Sub-inspector of Madhavpur police station Ranjan Kumar confirmed the truth. However, till this report was written, the body of the dead old man was recovered and kept at the Shaistaganj Highway Police Station.
