A businessman named Russell Mridha (26) died in a road accident in Kaliganj of Gazipur. The accident took place in front of Moolgaon Dakhil Madrasa of Kaliganj Municipality on Tongi Ghorashal Bypass Road on Sunday around 11:00 PM.

Deceased Russell Mridha is the son of Abdul Bached Mridha of Khanepur area under Palash upazila of Narsingdi district. He is the proprietor of Tanisha Telecom in Khanepur Bazar.

Russell Mridha son of Abdul Bached Mridha of Khanepur village under Palash upazila of Narsingdi district left for Dhaka on a motorcycle to buy goods for Tanisha Telecom on Sunday morning. At around 11:00 PM, a speeding bus of Uttara Paribahan from Dhaka overtaking another truck hit the motorcycle when it reached Moolgaon Madrasa in Kaliganj Municipality area of ​​Kaliganj Municipal area near Chaitar Para railway crossing. Motorcyclist Russell Mridha died on the spot. Later, the locals quickly rescued Russell Mridha and took him to Kaliganj Government Hospital. The doctor on duty said that he died before being brought to the hospital.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station in Kaliganj said. Anichur Rahman confirmed the truth of the accident and said that the body of Russell has been handed over to his family without an autopsy due to a written request from the victim’s family.
