Upazila-Level Youth Street Dialogue Held in Chapainawabganj
An Upazila-level Youth Street Dialogue was held in Chapainawabganj under the Resilience, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Improvement (RELI) project of the Social Development Foundation (SDF). The program was organized on Sunday afternoon near the Parkalinagar Bridge area of Sadar Upazila as part of the Tarunner Utsab–2025 (Youth Festival 2025).
One of the main attractions of the event was the performance of Gambhira, a traditional folk music of Chapainawabganj. Through humorous dialogues between the characters ‘Nana’ and ‘Nati’, the importance of technical education in addressing unemployment was highlighted. The performance was presented by the popular Chapainokshi Gambhira Group, enlisted with Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar.
Youth members from various village organizations of SDF in Chapainawabganj district, along with the cluster team and district team, participated in the street dialogue. As part of the program, a public awareness rally was held. Leaflets and promotional materials on youth development were distributed, and discussions were conducted with local people in nearby market areas to inform them about SDF’s youth development initiatives. Special emphasis was placed on raising awareness about employment generation through technical training for unemployed youth.
