Due to the garbage bins on the roads in front of residential houses, mosques and graveyards, the environment of the area is polluted and the worshippers and students of the area are suffering in an unhealthy environment. When this matter was brought to the attention of the Mayor and Chief Sanitation Officer of the City Council, the Mayor, after inspecting the area, gave instructions to remove the dustbins very quickly, considering the health risks to the environment and residents of the area in order to implement a clean, green, healthy and safe city. When the Mayor and the City Council’s sanitation department again threw garbage at the place, the local residents brought the matter to the attention of the City Council authorities.
In continuation of this, on Sunday, November 16, when the Chasik cleanliness officer, executive magistrate, former city BNP health affairs secretary and DAB secretary general Dr. Sarwar Alam and the mayor’s private secretary Maruful Haque Chowdhury came to inspect the area, media workers, Chittagong divisional bureau chief of Dainik Ajker Bangla Ismail Emon, were videotaped and used abusive language by Asad Ullah, president of Rasulbagh Social Welfare Council. When this matter spread among media workers, anger arose among local dignitaries.
