Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) has urged everyone to work unitedly to build a happy and prosperous Bangladesh of the father of the nation’s dream through the socio-economic development of the people of the hill region.

Minister Bir Bahadur said that,the government is working sincerely for the development of all sectors including education,health,electricity,Communication and infrastructure in the mountainous areas.

Minister Bir Bahadur said these things while addressing the chief guest at an exchange meeting at Aziznagar Chambi Government High School premises after the inauguration of development work in Aziznagar Union of Lama Upazila of Bandarban on Saturday (October 15) morning.

On this day,Minister Bir Bahadur inaugurated various development works including roads,Buddhist Vihar,bridges at a cost of Tk 2 crore 70 lakhs implemented by the Bandarban Hill District Council and the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board.

Meanwhile,the minister also said that during the tenure of the present government,the hilly areas like the flat areas of the country are also getting massive development and the common people are getting the benefits.

Aziznagar Union Parishad Chairman Md.Jasim Uddin Presided the meeting. District Administration Local Government Deputy Director Md.Lutfur Rahman,Lama Upazila Parishad Chairman Md.Mostafa Jamal,Lama Upazila Executive Officer Md.Mostafa Javed Kaiser,Bandarban Hill District Council member Laxmi pada Das,Senior officials of various government departments were present on the occasion.

After the meeting Minister distributed various items including agricultural implements, dheutin,VGD rice among the local people.
