Abdullah Al Mamun, Chapainawabganj: Eid-e- Miladunnabi is celebrated in Chapainawabganj to commemorate the arrival and departure of the last prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alahi Oya Alihi Oya Sallam.

Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alahi Oya Alihi Oya Sallam was born on the 12th of Hijri Rabiul Awal. His martyrdom anniversary is also on the same day. According to the Hijri calendar, the religious Muslims of this country celebrate Eid-e- Miladunnabi on this day.

In Chapainawabganj, on the occasion of celebrating the holy Eid-e- Miladunnabi 1444 Hijri, a discussion on the life and work of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alahi Oya Alihi Oya Sallam, distribution of awards and prayer mahfil was organized. Bangladesh Shishu Academy and Islamic Foundation organized these programs in the conference room of the District Commissioner’s office on Sunday (09 October) with the cooperation of the district administration.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Agriculturist Ahmed Mahbub-ul-Islam presided over the discussion meeting, prize distribution and prayer ceremony. Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Agriculturist Md. Mahmudar Rahman gave a welcome speech at the meeting.

Principal of Chapainawabganj Kamil Madrasah Dr. Md. Imran Hossain spoke as the main speaker. Collectorate Jame Masjid Imam Maulana Md. Mukhtar Ali, District Child Affairs Officer Md. Shafiqul Alam, Chamber of Commerce Director Mf. Shahidul Islam Shahid, Harimohan Government High School Student Md. Serazus Salekin Soumya spoke among others.

At the end of the discussion meeting, the guests distributed prizes among the winners of various competitions and special prayers were held for the welfare of the country and the nation.

Earlier, a colorful procession organized by devout Muslims on the occasion of the celebration of the Holy Eid-e- Miladunnabi (Sallallahu Alahi Oya Alihi Oya Sallam) 1444 Hijri from in front of the Chapainawabganj Court Square circled the various roads of the city.
