“Last month, I had the opportunity to travel to both Vietnam and Thailand. During my visit to Vietnam, I observed several unique aspects of Vietnamese culture and the way people live. While both countries have their own charm, I noticed that Vietnamese people possess distinct qualities that set them apart. Here’s a summary of my observations:

1. Hospitable & Friendly: The Vietnamese are incredibly warm and welcoming. I felt a deep sense of hospitality from everyone I met, whether it was a shopkeeper, a local in a café, or a fellow traveler. Their friendliness truly made my experience in Vietnam memorable.

2. Hard-Working: The people in Vietnam are known for their strong work ethic. From street vendors to business owners, everyone seems to be constantly working hard. This dedication and perseverance are visible in every part of society.

3. Family-Oriented: Family is at the heart of Vietnamese culture. Whether in big cities or small villages, family ties are very important, and there is a strong sense of responsibility toward one another. Many people live in multigenerational households, and children show great respect for their elders.

4. High Sense of National Pride: The Vietnamese are deeply proud of their history and heritage. The strength of their national identity is evident in everyday life, from the way people talk about their past struggles to their pride in Vietnam’s accomplishments today.

5. True and Affectionate: Vietnamese people tend to be very genuine in their relationships. Friendships are built on trust, and there’s a noticeable warmth in their interactions. They are affectionate and sincere in their emotional connections.

6. Modest but Vain: While the Vietnamese are typically modest about their achievements, there is a noticeable focus on appearance. People in urban areas take great care in how they present themselves, and fashion plays a significant role in daily life.
7. Country-Lovers with a Focused Vision: There’s a palpable love for their country in Vietnam. People are proud of their nation’s growth and development, and there is a strong focus on improving the country’s future. The sense of unity and dedication to progress is inspiring.

8. Women Prefer Cooking and Are Loyal to Their Families: Traditional gender roles are still prevalent in many areas of Vietnam, particularly in rural settings. Women often take on the role of caregivers and are dedicated to their families, especially in terms of cooking and maintaining the household.

9. Urban Development vs. Rural Growth: While the cities in Vietnam may not be as developed as some major cities in Western countries, the infrastructure outside the cities is surprisingly well-developed. The roads and transport systems in rural areas are modern and efficient, which shows Vietnam’s focus on overall development beyond the cities.”
