Microbus hit the railing of the bridge, killed 4

Four passengers of a microbus were killed after it lost control and rammed into the railing of a bridge in Sirajganj’s Kamarkhand. Ten others were injured.
The accident took place on Bangabandhu Setu West Link Highway at Jhail Overbridge area of Kamarkhand Upazila around 12:15 on Monday night.
The deceased are Jahangir Hossain (55) of Banpara village of Banpara upazila of Natore district, his wife Panna Khatun (45), microbus driver Salim Sheikh (40) and Rafiqul Islam (38) of Manikganj.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bangabandhu Setu West Police Station Mosaddek Hossain said that the driver lost control when a microbus bound for Dhaka from North Bengal reached the Jhail overbridge area. At this time, the microbus hit the railing of the overbridge. One died on the spot. The injured were rescued and taken to the hospital where three others died. The bodies of the deceased have been kept at the Sirajganj 250-bed Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital morgue.
