A collision between a motorcycle and a bicycle took place on Kazirbazar Bridge in Sylhet metropolis. One person named Nirmal Sarkar (30) was killed.

The incident happened on Friday night (September 24) around 12:30.

Nirmal is the son of Suklal Sarkar of Durgapur village of Madhavpur police station in Habiganj district. Tiri worked as a staff in a pharmacy in Ambarkhana.

According to Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP) sources, a collision occurred between motorcycle rider Hedayet Ullah Amin (29) and bicycle rider Nirmal Sarkar (30) on the south Surma lane on Kazibazar Bridge at around 12:30 pm. Both were seriously injured.

Later, the pedestrians rescued them and took them to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared Nirmal Sarkar, who was riding a bicycle, dead.

On the other hand, motorcycle rider Hedayet Ullah Amin (29) is under treatment at Osmani Hospital in a coma.
