Raju, who escaped from the court, was not arrested but handcuffed

Raju, who escaped from Habiganj Court, was handcuffed but was not arrested even after 3 days. Meanwhile, reliable sources said that several police teams are working to catch him. The handcuff was recovered from Raju’s home in Shivrampur of Madhavpur upazila on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the police has filed a case as the plaintiff in this incident. The investigation officer of the case, Sadar Model Police Station SI Sanak Kanti Das and Mominul Islam, along with a team of police have launched an operation to nab Raju.
A group of policemen took him to the court of learned Senior Judicial Magistrate Fakhrul Islam from Habiganj Court Hajat last Thursday 7th August. Earlier, the police applied for a 5-day remand for questioning. At that time, when Raju was taken to the court under police escort, he escaped. Within moments, the courtroom started to shout. After that, the police started searching around to catch the accused. But in the end he was not found. At the time of writing this report at 10 pm on Saturday, the police are continuing the operation to nab the absconding accused.
It is known that Raju was arrested by RAB-9 in the early morning of Thursday, August 31, from Harshpur Railway Station Bazar area of Madhavpur Police Station based on secret information. He is the son of Md. Chan Badsha Mia of Shibrampur village in the upazila. Raju is a professional drug dealer. He used to bring drugs from the border area and spread them throughout the district. RAB members conducted a tip-off operation to catch him and arrested him red-handed with 264 bottles of Fensidil. Later, Madhavpur police applied for a 5-day remand against Raju. The date of remand hearing was fixed last Thursday.
