5 including children were shot in the clash between the two sides of Awami League

Due to past enmity in Munshiganj, there was a clash between two parties of Awami League. Five people, including a child, were shot.
The attack took place in Solarchar village of Adhara union in Char area of Sadar upazila on Wednesday evening.
The shot dead are – Jai Mustan (20), Zahirul (32), Jewel (19) and Salahuddin (30). A seven-month-old child, Tabasum, was also shot dead.
The injured were admitted to Munshiganj General Hospital. Among them, Jai Mustan, who was shot in critical condition, was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital by the doctor on duty.
The injured said that they were members of Mojibur. At last they were returning from Munshiganj to Nijgram Solar Char. On the way, when they reached Solachar area, a group of 3/4 people, including Ahadul, Mana and Kalam, belonging to the general secretary of the local union Awami League, Suruj, took Joy and Zahirul out of the car and started beating them.
When they tried to escape, Ahadul, Mana and Kalum fired. Jai Mustan, Zahirul, Jewel and Salahuddin were seriously injured. Tabasum was shot at this time.
At present, the situation is prevailing in Solarchar village. Additional police have been deployed.
Sadar Police Station OC Md. Aminul Islam said that the operation is going on after the incident.
