A cleaner named Arman Mia (35) died after slipping into the septic tank in Gaibandha.

The accident took place on Wednesday (06 September) around 2 pm in Kuptala Bazar area of Sadar Upazila.

Arman lived with his aunt Bina Begum in Matrisadan area of the city.

Nasim Reza, a member of the rescue team of Gaibandha Fire Service and Civil Defense, told CNBangladesh that Arman was cleaning the septic tank at the house of a local named Shamsujjoha at noon. At that time, he slipped and fell into a deep hole in the tank, sustaining a serious head injury. Armaan’s body was recovered around 3 pm after reaching the spot after receiving the information.

Kuptala Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter.
