In Shaistaganj again, a house was robbed by throwing spray. On the night of September 1, a group of thieves threw anesthetic spray through the window of Md Arif Mia, a tenant of a tin shed house owned by Syed Shahin Mia of South Lenjapara village. They took cash and gold ornaments from that house.

Arif Mia’s wife Farida Begum (33), daughter Faria Afrin Ifti (13), son Md Fayad Mondal (7), Md Fardin Mondal (5) fell ill and were admitted to Sadar Hospital. Arif is a resident of Balashpur village of Mymensingh district and works as a gateman of Shaestaganj Railway.

Meanwhile, when a member of the spray party named Farooq Mia was detained in the incident of throwing spray, he gave a confessional statement to the police. According to his information, RAB arrested Taleb, the master of RAB, from Chittagong. But even then, the theft by throwing spray does not stop.

It is known that Langra Taleb was once the godfather of CNG thieves. For the past 1 month, more such incidents have taken place in different houses of Shaistaganj and Chunarughat upazilas. As a result, there is fear between the two upazilas. But many have called on the police to unravel its mystery. Meanwhile, it is said that the local people arrested 3 people including the alleged source on Saturday afternoon. They are Kasem, son of Churab Ali of Dariyapur village of Sadar Upazila, Farid Mia and Sabuj Mia, the alleged source of Shaestaganj police station. Later they were handed over to the police by local people.
