I will build Bangladesh in the spirit of independence: Prime Minister

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that she came to the country to build the destiny of the people of the country and not herself.
The Prime Minister said, I am not afraid of death. I will work for the people of the country. I will improve the destiny of the people of the country. I will fulfill that dream with which my father made this country independent and suffered all his life. I returned home with this promise. Since then our endeavor has been how to change people’s destiny.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the students’ gathering organized by the Chhatra League at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Friday afternoon.
The Prime Minister said that today many international organizations talk about human rights. August 15 when I lost my parents and brothers, we did not have the right to seek justice? I could not ask for justice either. After being elected president of Awami League in 1981, I came back after crossing many obstacles. I came to the country with some kind of force.
Reiterating his conviction to build a developed and prosperous country, he said, today my only goal is to improve this Bangladesh. In Sukanta’s words, I want to make this world habitable for children. This is my promise to the newcomer.
Sheikh Hasina said, on the path of Uday, I listen to whose words, I am not afraid, I am not afraid of him. After all, the soul that gives charity has no loss. I walk with that ideal. I have no fear. I love the people of this country, I will build Bangladesh in the spirit of freedom.
Highlighting the government’s development, he said, many people do not like these developments. Whenever Awami League came to power, people’s fortunes changed. Our goal is to further develop the country. Many do not like anything. whose eyes are blind. I have made a very modern eye institute, international quality institute; I see myself there. If you buy a ticket of 10 rupees, you can show your eyes there. I will tell them to go there and show the eyes.
Pointing to BNP, the Prime Minister said, in fact, the door of their mind is dark. And the conqueror of the defeated power. That’s why they don’t see the change in people’s fate. How sorry they are that they are not able to eat and eat by opening the building.
He said, people on fixed income are suffering due to inflation. If everyone looks at the production, no one will have to give a hand. After independence in 1974 he did not allow food grains bought with his own cash. Artificially created famine. Keeping that in mind, we will produce our food and continue to increase production.
Addressing the Chhatra League, Sheikh Hasina said that proper leadership is needed to run any institution. I hope the BCL leaders will develop themselves as that leadership. We want Chhatra League to lead wherever it is.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader gave a speech under the chairmanship of Chhatra League President Saddam Hossain and moderated by General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan.
