Chess competition in Chapainawabganj with the cooperation of district police has received a huge response

Abdullah Al Mamun: A two-day chess competition in Chapainawabganj with the help of district police ended last Monday. The competition started on Sunday morning at Nayagola Police Lines ground. 26 teams from 24 schools of the district participated in the competition.

Rajarampur Hamidullah High School bagged 1st place in the competition, Bir Bikram Shaheed Naik Mahar Ali High School bagged 2nd place and Haripur Girls High School bagged 3rd place. Besides, crests are awarded to the best players of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th boards in this competition.

District Police Superintendent AHM Abdur Rakib presided over the closing ceremony and distributed the awards as the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner AKM Galiv Khan.

Additional District Magistrate Devendra Nath Uraon, District Education Officer Abdur Rashid, District Sports Officer Jahangir Hossain, Member of Bangladesh Chess Federation SM Obaidah Nipun were also present in the event.

Bangladesh Chess Federation in collaboration with Chapainawabganj District Police and sponsored by Abul Khair Group organized this school-based competition titled Mark Chess Champs. Organizing such a competition has seen a huge response among student chess players.
