According to the Bangladesh Tea Board’s Project Development Unit, production will exceed 50 million kg by August. But the production in July 2022 was 11.276 million kg. Director of Bangladesh Tea Research Center Ismail Hossain told Morningglory that the target of tea this season has been set at 102 million kg. The production of the tea industry was disrupted in early June. At present, production has increased due to adequate rainfall.
