Clash in Chakria of Cox’s Bazar centered on the death of war criminal Delawar Hossain Sayeedi. One person named Forkan (60) was reportedly killed.

According to local sources, the deceased Forkan is a resident of Ward No. 1 of Chakaria Municipality.

Chakaria upazila health and family planning officer Dr. Mohammadul Haque said that at around 4:30 in the afternoon Chakaria Upazila Complex. Forkan was brought in dead.

The doctor said that Forkan had injuries on his head. An autopsy will reveal how he suffered the head injury.

Locals said that around 4 pm today, a clash broke out when the police stopped the Jamaat-Shibir people from the funeral of Saeedee in Chakaria Bazar. Forkan was hit on the head there.
