The husband killed his wife by slitting her throat

In Sunamganj’s Jagannathpur, a housewife has been accused of leaving her body in the pond after her husband killed her due to a family dispute. The incident took place in Raninagar village of Pailgaon Union of the upazila on Sunday (September 18) morning.
The murdered Achia Begum (50) is the wife of Noor Ahmad of that village. Police arrested Noor Ahmad in this incident. Later, the police seized the bloodstain and saw used in the murder from the residence.
According to Jagannathpur Police and local sources, Seema Begum, daughter of Noor Ahmad, a Saudi expatriate, sends money to her mother every month. There was anger between Noor Ahmad and husband and wife often quarreled over money. On Sunday morning, there was a quarrel between them. At one point Nur Ahmad cut the throat of his wife Achia Begum with a saw and a saw. Later Achia left the bloody body on the pond.
Neighbors saw Achiya’s body lying there and rescued her and took her to the Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared her dead.
On receiving the information, the police recovered the body from the health complex and went to the spot and arrested Noor Ahmad. Later, the body was sent to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
Jagannathpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman said that the husband is being detained and interrogated on the charge of killing his wife. Some evidence used in the murder has been recovered. The body has been sent to Sunamganj Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
