A day-long free medical camp was held at Debhata in Satkhira to diagnose non-communicable diseases diabetes and high blood pressure. A medical camp was conducted at Askarpur Community Clinic in remote town of Nawapara Union of Upazila from 8 am on Monday.
Through the implementation of private development organization Ashar Alo and the funding of AmericaCares Foundation Inc., under the Local Health Center Enrichment Project of Bangladesh, hundreds of women and men in the area were tested for diabetes and high blood pressure free of charge through camp organization and referral.
In the initial phase of the project, the organization is working to enrich the community clinics of the two unions of the upazila, improve the quality of health care and direct the common people to the community clinic.
