On the occasion of the 74th birth anniversary celebration of Captain Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, sports and cultural organizer, brave freedom fighter martyred, tributes, commemoration, discussion meeting and tree planting were held in Srimangal of Moulvibazar.

Yesterday Saturday (August 5) at 11 am in the meeting room of Srimangal Upazila Parishad, under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (Acting) Sandhip Talukder, a commemoration and discussion meeting was held to celebrate the 74th birth anniversary of the brave freedom fighter martyred Captain Sheikh Kamal. Upazila Parishad Chairman Bhanulal Roy was present as the chief guest in the meeting. Upazila Awami League President Ardhendu Kumar Dev, Acting General Secretary Jagatjyoti Dhar Shubhra, Srimangal Thana Officer-in-Charge Jahangir Hossain Sardar, Srimangal Health-Family and Planning Officer Dr. were present as special guests. Sajjad Hossain Chowdhury, Inspector of Police (Investigation) Aminul Islam.
Also Upazila Awami League Joint General Secretary Enam Hossain Chowdhury Mamun, Organizational Secretary Belayet Hossain and others were present at the time. During this time saplings of various trees were planted and distributed in the Upazila Parishad premises.
