In Ishwardi of Pabna, with the help of Upazila Primary Education Officer Asaduzzaman, an allegation has been made of stealing 5,000 taka from a head teacher posing as the joint secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. The incident took place at Lakshikunda Government Primary School in Lakshikunda Union of Upazila.
It is known that last Monday (July 10) at noon, Ishwardi Upazila Primary Education Officer Asaduzzaman called the head teacher of Lakshikunda Government Primary School Aminul Islam and gave this number (01302220832) and asked him to call and talk. Later, 5 thousand taka was demanded from the head teacher by introducing himself as the joint secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
Aminul Islam, the head teacher of the victim Lakshikunda Government Primary School, said that Upazila Primary Education Officer Asaduzzaman called me and gave me a number and said that the senior officer wanted to talk to me. Later he called me on that number and asked me to talk. Asaduzzaman sir called me again and asked me why I didn’t speak yet, as I was busy with personal work and delayed for some time. Immediately I called that number, he gave me the secretary’s PS ID. And said I have a file of your school in my hand, I will submit it to the secretary sir’s table in a while. This can harm you and your organization. Later he demanded 5 thousand rupees on the condition of not submitting the file. Asaduzzaman sir gave the call, I easily believed that he was someone superior. Later he sent the claimed 5000 taka to the number given by him (Rocket 01320737213).
In this regard, Upazila Primary Education Officer Asaduzzaman said, on July 10 at noon, I telephoned Aminul Islam, the principal teacher of Lakshikunda Government Primary School, and gave him a number and asked him to speak on the phone. It is true. But I know nothing about financial transactions.
Ishwardi Upazila Nirbahi Officer Subir Kumar Dash said, no one told me anything about this. However, if a complaint is received, action will be taken against him subject to investigation.
