Russia to return to grain deal if demands accepted: Putin
Online Desk/
Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow-Ukraine would consider returning to the grain deal if the demands were fully met. He said this on Wednesday. Putin made such comments after Russia’s withdrawal from the grain agreement this week.
In a government meeting, he said that the continuation of this agreement in its current form has become meaningless. Of course we will consider the possibility of returning to this agreement. But only on one condition, and that is if all the principles under which Russia agreed to participate in the treaty are fully taken into account.
Putin said Russia has shown enough patience by extending the agreement several times. The West is using this agreement for political gain without giving to those who really need it.
Last year, Ukraine exported more than 3.2 million tons of food grains under the agreement between the United Nations and Turkey.
