Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Chairman and Inter-Education Board Coordination Sub-Committee President Tapan Sarkar said, ‘There is no uncertainty about the SSC and equivalent exams starting from Thursday (tomorrow). Even if there is adverse weather, the examination will be started as usual.

On Wednesday (September 14), Tapan Sarkar said that whether there is a problem due to rain or not, they are in constant contact with the central secretaries. It is expected that there will be no problem in the transportation of the candidates.

Last time the exam started at 10 am, but this time considering the traffic jam, this exam will start at 11 am. Students should enter the center at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.

Earlier on September 5, the Minister of Education Dr. Dipu Moni said, “SSC 2022 and equivalent exams are starting simultaneously across the country on September 15 (Thursday) through the Bangla First Paper exam. This time the total number of candidates is 20 lakh 21 thousand 868.

He also said, “This year, instead of 3 hours, each exam will be held for 2 hours. The exam will start from 11 am and will continue till 1 pm. Candidates should enter the center 30 minutes before the start of the exam i.e. within 10.30 minutes. Compared to last year, the number of candidates for this year’s SSC and equivalent exams has decreased. However, the number of examination centers and institutes has increased.

It was informed in the press conference that a total of 15 lakh 99 thousand 711 students will participate in SSC and equivalent exams this year in 9 general education boards. 2 lakh 68 thousand 495 people will participate in Madrasa Board entrance examination and the total number of candidates for SSC (Vocational) and entrance examination of Technical Education Board is 1 lakh 53 thousand 662 people.

This time there are 3 thousand 790 examination centers across the country. Last year there were 3 thousand 679. As a result, the total number of centers increased by 111. This year total educational institutions are 29 thousand 591. Last year there were 29 thousand 35. Accordingly, the total number of institutions increased by 556.
