Journalist Nadeem’s murder, chairman’s son Fahim expelled from Chhatra League

Fahim Faisal Rifat has been temporarily expelled from the post of joint convener of Bakshiganj Upazila Chhatra League of Jamalpur. He is accused of involvement in the murder of journalist Gholam Rabbani Nadeem. Besides, he is the son of accused chairman Mahmudul Alam Babu.
This information was announced in a press release signed by district BCL president Khabirul Islam Khan and general secretary Nafiul Karim Rabbi on Saturday (June 17) afternoon.
According to the circular, a group of miscreants ambushed and killed journalist Nadeem at Pathati Junction on June 14. The name of Fahim Faisal Rifat came up in the media. As a result, he was temporarily expelled from the post of joint convener of the Upazila Chhatra League as the image of the party was tarnished.
Fahim Faisal Rifat’s expulsion has been confirmed by District Chhatra League President Khabirul Islam Khan.
