On the occasion of National Nutrition Week 2023 at Srimangal, Moulvibazar, a rally was held for pregnant mothers and lactating mothers on maternal nutrition and child health.

On Sunday morning, a mother’s rally was held at Khaichra Community Clinic, which is home to tea gardens, in the organization of Public Health Nutrition Institute and the implementation of Upazila Health Complex.

Upazila family planning officer Dr. was present as the chief guest in the gathering. Md. Sajjad Hossain Chowdhury. Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Saheda Akter, Medical Officer (Gynaecologist) Dr. spoke as special guests. Dr. Roksana Parveen, Medical Officer (Disease Control). Parth Chariot Singh. Speakers discuss maternal and infant care. Dayal Bunerjee, Member of Parliament of the area, said that free transport will be arranged to take the poor mothers to the hospital if they insist on institutional delivery, not home delivery.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Sajjad Hossain Chowdhury welcomed this initiative.

Dr. Medical Officer (Disease Control). Under the direction of Partha Sarthi Singh, Sanitary Inspector Vinay Singh Rautiya, Inspector Kalpana Rani Biswas, CHCP Rajeev Singh, Inspector Montulal Das, Inspector Badhan Acharya were also present in the rally.

At the end of the event, nutritious seasonal fruits were distributed to everyone. About 50 mothers participated in the rally.
