CCTV cameras mandatory in mandap during Durga Puja: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that installation of CCTV cameras in every pujamandap in the country has been made mandatory during the upcoming Durga Puja. All pavilions will be manned by RAB-Police, volunteers as well as mobile courts and members of Ansar forces.
He said these things to the journalists after the law and order meeting on the occasion of Durga Puja in the conference room of his ministry at the secretariat on Sunday.
The Home Minister said that Durga Puja will be celebrated from October 1 to 5. Puja will be held in 32 thousand 168 pavilions across the country. Puja will be celebrated in more than 1000 pavilions than last year. Measures have been taken to prevent rumors about the puja.
Urging everyone to be careful about rumours, he said, if there is any problem, call 999.
Asaduzzaman Khan said, however, the use of words during adhan and namaz will be tolerated.
