5 people fined for riding motorcycles without helmets

A mobile court has conducted a drive against motorcycle riders without helmets in Moulvibazar. 5 motorcycle riders without helmets have been fined in the drive. On Thursday (July 30), Assistant Commissioner of the District Administration and Executive Magistrate Md. Mahfuzul Haque Omi conducted the drive under the Road Transport Act, 2018.
During the mobile court, a fine of 4 thousand taka was collected in 5 cases for not using helmets under Section 92(1) of the Road Transport Act, 2018. At the end of the drive, the Executive Magistrate emphasized the need for using helmets for motorcycle riders and said that using helmets is not only a matter of obeying the law, but it is also one of the most important ways to save the life of the driver.
Necessary advice and guidance were given to the drivers and pedestrians present at the time to make them aware of the road transport law. The district administration said that in addition to operating regular mobile courts to establish order on the roads and reduce accidents, public awareness activities will also continue in the future.
