“Home Minister Salah Uddin Ahmed said that the police is not a party or a lathi-powered force, but a party-free, modern, technology-friendly and humane organization that will adhere to a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. He urged the new police officers to develop themselves as genuine friends and servants of the common man by acquiring technical skills for digital crime suppression and cyber security. He said these things while addressing the closing parade of the 27th BCS (Police) Batch 1st Stage Training held at Bangladesh Police Academy, Sharda, Rajshahi on Sunday morning.
The Home Minister said that paying tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War and the 24th student uprising, he congratulated the 27th BCS (Police) Batch 1st Stage officers who have overcome 18 years of deprivation. While entering a new reality, maintaining the chain of command Police members will work to build a non-discriminatory society, establish the rule of law and restore peace in the minds of the people. Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed MP, was the chief guest of this closing parade and received the greetings. After receiving the greetings, he distributed awards among the trainees who achieved excellence in various subjects and gave a guiding speech to the new officers.
Also present as special guests in today’s parade were Md. Mizanur Rahman Minu MP, Minister of Land of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Advocate Shafiquk Haque Milon MP, Abu Said Chand MP, Rajshahi City Corporation Administrator Mahafuzur Rahman Riton, RDA Chairman Abul Kalam Azad Sweet, Inspector General of Police, Md. Ali Hossain Fakir and Principal, Bangladesh Police Academy, Additional IGP GM Azizur Rahman.
Trainee Assistant Superintendent of Police served as the parade commander in this training closing parade. Dr. Md. Nurul Huda Bhuiyan. He earned the honor of receiving awards in two categories – Best Probationer and Best in Field Activities Award – as part of his long training achievements. Also, the Best Academic Award was won by Apprentice Assistant Superintendent of Police Abu Numan Mohammad Khairul Islam and the Best Shooter was won by Apprentice Assistant Police A, B, M Mamun.”
