Ansar-VDP Initiative for Member Welfare: 29,037 Members and Employees Receive Eid Gifts
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr-2026, Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force has organized an Eid gift distribution program for its members and employees who are beneficiaries.
The closing ceremony of this initiative, which was taken with the aim of strengthening the welfare and mutual harmony of the members, was held at the force headquarters in Khilgaon, Dhaka on Thursday (12 March 2026).
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Director General of the force, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud.
Under this initiative, Eid gifts were distributed to a total of 29,037 people, including members and 4th class employees, in 64 districts of the country.
The gift packets included rice, polua, semolina, powdered milk, noodles and various cooking spices.
This program has been organized to create an atmosphere of joy and harmony among the members and employees ahead of the holy Eid.
In his speech at the event, the Director General said that the members of this largest discipline and public defense force of the country have been performing their duties with dedication and sense of responsibility, overcoming various adversities.
He mentioned that the progress of the force continues through proper identification and resolution of various challenges and problems in the activities of the force. He placed special emphasis on the unity, mutual cooperation, and brotherhood of Ansar and VDP members as partners in the overall welfare activities of the state and their fulfillment of their responsibilities.
Additional Director General of the force, Brigadier General Mamunur Rashid, Deputy Directors General, and officers and employees of various ranks were also present at the event.
