A monthly NGO meeting was held in Paikgachha.The meeting was held on Monday morning, March 9, at the Upazila Parishad auditorium with NGO officials organized by the Upazila administration.
Presided over by Upazila Executive Officer Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury, the newly elected MP from Khulna-6 (Koira-Paikgacha) constituency, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, was the chief guest.
In his speech as the chief guest at the meeting, MP Maolana Abul Kalam Azad said that in addition to the public representatives of the area, NGOs should also play a role in solving the basic problems of the people of Koira and Paikgachha. In particular, everyone should work together to solve the drinking water crisis.
At this time, PIO Rajib Biswas, Public Health Deputy Assistant Engineer Prashant Pal, Khulna District Nayeb Ameer, Maolana Golam Sarwar, District Working Committee Member Mao. SM Aminul Islam, Maulana Sheikh Kamal Hossain, Maulana Bulbul Ahmed, Md. Altaf Hossain, NGO officials including DSK Regional Manager Md. Abul Hasan Siddiqui, Dorp Upazila Timekeeper Shariful Alam Tuhin, Sushilder Md. Ayub Ali, World Vision Area Program Manager Biplob Sardar and other departments, NGO officials and representatives were present.
In the meeting, it was emphasized that everyone should come forward to draw everyone’s attention to the various evils including child marriage prevention, establish sanitary and tube wells for health protection, repair roads, support poor and talented students, and train youth.
At the same time, Upazila Executive Officer Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury called on all NGOs in Paikgachha Upazila to attend the monthly meeting and inform everyone about their activities.
