On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, a prayer and iftar mahfil was organized by the Islamic Chhatra Shibir at the Government Michael Madhusudan (MM) College in Jashore. The event was organized in front of the college’s Madhu Mancha on Saturday. The field in front of the college’s Madhu Mancha was filled to the brim during the iftar mahfil. A large number of students participated in it. According to the organizers, about 1,400 students were served iftar on this day.

In addition, iftar was also delivered to the college halls for female students. Mohsin Ali recited the Quran at the beginning of the program. Later, Zahid Hasan performed Islamic music. Rakibul Hasan, president of the MM College branch of Islami Chhatra Shibir, delivered the opening speech at the program. Anisur Rahman Alif, secretary of the college branch of the organization, delivered the welcome speech. Sheikh Hasan Imam, former convener of the MM College Chhatra Dal, was among others.
At this time, the importance and significance of the month of Ramadan was discussed by Ubaidullah Hussain, a member of the central executive council of Islami Chhatra Shibir and Jashore city president, and K. M. Ashraful Islam, a former member of the central executive council of the organization and former president of Jashore city. At the end of the program, the Khatib Hafez Maulana Amjad Hussain, the leader of the MM College Central Mosque, led the prayers and supplications.
