A human chain has been held in protest of the forced land occupation and extortion incident in Chaudala, Chapainawabganj and demanding proper investigation and trial. The affected land owners organized this human chain at 11:30 am on Thursday at Choudala Madrasa Mor Collegepara in Gomostapur Upazila.
The speakers in the human chain said that the land grabbers of the area, Shariful, Matin, Shah Alam and Badiur Chakra, are trying to forcibly occupy various lands of the people of the area. They are even extorting money while occupying the land. The real land owners of the area are insecure in these incidents. The affected land owners demanded proper investigation, trial and security in the forced land occupation and extortion incident. Md. Jewel Ali, Bairul Islam, Tajemul Haque spoke at the human chain. Sam Mohammad, Anarul Haque, Abdul Majid and others. Gomostapur Police Station OC Abdul Barik said that strict legal action will be taken after investigation in this matter.
