On the occasion of the great Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day, the Chittagong Reporters Association (CRA) placed a wreath at the Chittagong Central Shaheed Minar in the early hours of the 21st.

Led by CRA President Sohag Arefin, the leaders and members of the organization attended the Shaheed Minar and paid deep respect to the memory of the language martyrs. At this time, they observed silence, praying for the forgiveness of the souls of the martyrs.

In a brief speech, the CRA leaders said that our mother language, Bangla, has been achieved in exchange for the sacrifices of the martyrs of the 1952 language movement. This sacrifice of the language martyrs will remain forever in the history of the Bengali nation. They also expressed their conviction that the journalist community will always strive to protect the dignity of the mother language.

After placing the wreath, the members of the organization, inspired by the spirit of the language movement, reiterated their commitment to work for truth and justice in the media.
