Woman arrested with 70 thousand pieces of Yaba in Ramu

Police have recovered 70 thousand pieces of Yaba tablets in Ramu, Cox’s Bazar. A woman drug dealer has been arrested in this incident.

Arrested is Ayesha Begum (36), a resident of Ward No. 5, Khuniapalong Union, Sadirkata. She is the daughter of Zafar Alam and wife of Ziaur Rahman.

A special operation was conducted by a police team on Wednesday (February 18) at around 5:30 pm to recover weapons and drugs. Ramu Police Station OC Monirul Islam Bhuiyan confirmed the matter.

He said that based on secret information, it was learned that the absconding accused Abdullah alias Kala Bada (30) in the complaint has stored a huge quantity of Yaba for sale with the help of his sister Ayesha Begum.

To verify the veracity of the news, the police searched Ziaur Rahman’s house in the Chadirkata area of ​​​​Khuniapalong Union.

During the search, 50 thousand pieces of Yaba were recovered from a white polythene packet hidden inside a chicken coop on the north side of the house.

In addition, another 20 thousand pieces of Yaba were seized from a sports bag kept under the dry leaves of a bamboo bush on the south side of the house. A total of 70 thousand pieces of Yaba recovered were seized in the presence of local witnesses.
