Chittagong flight diverted to Dhaka due to fog
Due to deep-fog, the sky at Shah Amanat International Airport was suddenly cloudy on Thursday morning. The international flight arriving from Dubai could not land at Chittagong Airport due to the lack of a clear runway.
A flight from Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport diverted to Dhaka’s Shah Amanat International Airport. This caused some panic among many relatives who came to receive passengers at the airport. Later, when the matter was announced over the airport’s microphone, the panic subsided and some relief was seen.
No official statement was received from the executive director of Shah Amanat International Airport until the time of writing this news.
Sources responsible for the airport said that US-Bangla Airlines flights arriving and departing from Dubai failed to land in Chittagong at 6:40 am and so they left for Dhaka.
An hour later, eyewitnesses said they heard an announcement over the microphone that they were scheduled to return to Chittagong from Dhaka.
