“Job Fair-2026” was organized by the Nursing Institute in Madaripur. The day-long fair was organized on Wednesday (February 18) at the new building of Madaripur Nursing Institute with the funding of the Asset Project.

The fair was organized to create employment opportunities for nursing diploma students and establish direct connections with private healthcare institutions. About 11 private hospitals and healthcare institutions of Madaripur and Shariatpur districts participated by setting up stalls. The participating institutions collected resumes from the students and conducted on-the-spot interviews.

Madaripur Nursing Institute In-charge Md. Hafizur Rahman presided over the event while Madaripur Deputy Commissioner Jahangir Alam was present as the chief guest. Special guests included Dr. Mehbooba Sayeed, Deputy Project Director (Health) of the Asset Project, Dr. Sardar Khalil Uzzaman, Acting Civil Surgeon of Madaripur District, and Khadija Basmin, Assistant Director of DGNM, among others.

At the beginning of the program, Deputy Commissioner Jahangir Alam visited each stall participating in the fair and exchanged views with the concerned. The organizers said that there are plans to expand such initiatives further in the future, so that skilled nurses can quickly find employment opportunities.
