Setting an example in anti-drug campaign in Cox’s Bazar, OC Chhamiuddin awarded special award

The tourist city of Cox’s Bazar has been worried about the terrible drug menace for a long time. But recently the scenario has started changing.

With a tough stance, quick operations and strong leadership, Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Chhamiuddin has come up in the discussion.

The monthly welfare meeting of the district police was held at the Cox’s Bazar Police Lines ground at 3 pm on Monday (February 16).

The meeting was presided over by District Police Chief A.N.M. Sajedur Rahman.

The meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police (Finance and Administration), (Crime), (DSB), (Traffic), officers in charge of various circles of the district, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Officers in Charge of all police stations and other police members.

At the end of the meeting, the Superintendent of Police honored and awarded police members at various levels for their significant contributions in various categories including drug and illegal weapons recovery, warrant Tamil.

Among them, OC Md. Chamiuddin was specially awarded.

Meanwhile, immediately after assuming office, OC Chamiuddin announced a strict stance against drugs.

Under his leadership, one after another operation is being conducted in the Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station area.

In a short period of time, two large consignments of Yaba were seized in a series of operations conducted under the direct supervision and strategic leadership of OC Md. Chamiuddin.

In one of these operations, 93,600 packets of Yaba were recovered, and in the other operation, another 50,000 packets of Yaba were recovered.

According to relevant sources, the seizure of such a large amount of Yaba in a single day is the highest in the history of Sadar Model Police Station.

According to the law enforcement agencies, the recovery of such a large amount of drugs in such a short period of time is an unprecedented success for the Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station.

These operations have not only caused huge financial losses to drug dealers, but have also dealt a major blow to the networks of gangs active in the area.

Such a courageous and firm stance in maintaining law and order is a clear message to drug dealers that there is no concession.

In his speech at the meeting, Superintendent of Police A.N.M. Sajedur Rahman praised the officers who were successful in the anti-drug operation and said that it is possible to keep the law and order situation under control if they perform their duties with professionalism, honesty and dedication.

By awarding OC Chamiuddin, the district police formally recognized his courage and leadership in the anti-drug operation.

After receiving the award, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station Md. Chamiuddin said, this recognition is not just mine; it is the result of the collective efforts of my team.

The inspiration of the Superintendent of Police will further accelerate our work. We will maintain maximum strictness to keep Cox’s Bazar drug-free.
