The rally was held in Chandia village of Kanchipara Union of Fulchhari Upazila on Tuesday (February 17). The village court activation rally was presided over by Fulchhari Upazila Zika Committee member and Upazila Women’s Federation President Md. Bithi Begum.

Upazila Coordinator ESDO Md. Abul Basen explained the goals and objectives of the meeting.
In the meeting, the UP Chairman expected the cooperation of the villagers and the workers of the private organizations to bring the village court activities implemented by the Union Parishad to all the poor people into the trust of the people.
He will take strong steps to settle the cases of this court as soon as possible. In the rally, he requested the villagers to motivate everyone to file cases worthy of trial in this court due to the scale of the crime.
The citizens present requested the UP Chairman to be more sincere in providing the application form by the UP Secretary for the procedural cooperation in filing the case.
The SKS Foundation official said that, respecting the instructions of the administration and in the public interest, he asked for overall cooperation in activating the village court activities in the unions that meet the needs of the district and to hold all kinds of yard meetings and gatherings in this regard at multiple places.
It is worth noting that the district administration has been observing stagnation in the activities of the village courts for some time now and has taken various steps to revive this activity through local non-governmental organizations and union councils, and this public awareness rally is a part of it.
