Netrokona residents are overjoyed as Barrister Kaiser Kamal, the member of parliament elected from Netrokona-1 (Kalmakanda, Durgapur) parliamentary constituency in the 13th National Parliament election and the legal affairs secretary of the central BNP national executive committee, has been appointed as the state minister.

Earlier, Barrister Kaiser Kamal had contested the 2008 and 2018 National Parliament elections under the symbol of a sheaf of rice. When the news spread around Tuesday afternoon, the people of Netrokona-1 constituency expressed joy.

BNP leaders and activists also expressed joy and excitement, saying, “The district residents are happy that Kaiser Kamal has been appointed as the state minister. We are also overjoyed.

We are grateful to BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.” They also said, “The current cabinet under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will be an example of fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the country and the people for generations to come.”

Former vice-president of the central Chhatra Dal, Ejmal Hossain Pilot, said, “After half a century of Bangladesh’s independence, the long-cherished dream of the people of Durgapur, Kalmakanda Upazila, the border area, has been fulfilled.

This is the first time that the people of Durgapur, Kalmakanda Upazila have received a minister. I hope that people of all religions and castes will get the touch of development along with security.
