Former central president of Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal, former BNP Dhaka division organizing secretary, former president and current convener of Gazipur district BNP, Alhaj AKM Fazlul Haque Milon has been elected as a member of parliament in the recently concluded 13th national parliament election in Gazipur-5 parliamentary constituency.

The people of Gazipur-5 (Kaliganj, Pubail and Baria) constituency want this winning member of parliament in BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman’s cabinet.

AKM Fazlul Haque Milon is one of the leaders who shook the streets in the anti-dictatorship movement of 1990. This central leader went to jail 11 times during the Hasina government. His mother died while Fazlul Haque Milon was in prison.

While in prison, Milon’s wife Shampa Haque risked her life to hold many rallies and was injured four times in Awami League attacks. Fazlul Haque Milon was the only BNP MP from Gazipur in the 2001 national parliamentary elections.

Therefore, the people of Kaliganj want the persecuted central leader of BNP, AKM Fazlul Haque Milon, to be the person in the BNP government to be in the cabinet.

Investigations revealed that all citizens of Kaliganj, including local BNP members and farmers, workers, and daily wage earners, are demanding AKM Fazlul Haque Milon as a minister.

Salah Uddin Ahmed, a member of the convening committee of Kaliganj Municipality BNP, said that the civil society of Kaliganj demands that AKM Fazlul Haque Milon be given a place in the cabinet and that the people of the district be properly honored.

Former student affairs secretary of Kaliganj Upazila BNP, Md. Monir Uddin Pathan (Mithu) said, the district adjacent to the capital is Gazipur.

There have been ministers and state ministers in this district during the tenure of all governments. AKM Fazlul Haque Milan has been elected as a member of parliament repeatedly and represented in parliament.

If he is given a place in the cabinet of the BNP government, he can play a significant role in the cabinet with his experience.

General Secretary of Gazipur District Journalist Oikya Parishad Md. Rafiqul Islam Rafiq said, AKM Fazlul Haque Milan, who won by a huge margin, is the oldest, clean and tested politician in Gazipur.

He kept the district BNP on its toes during the Awami League government. It is now the demand of the hour to make an honest, skilled, tested and competent leader like him a minister in the BNP government.

Former Mayor of Kaliganj Municipality Md. Lutfar Rahman said, AKM Fazlul Haque Milan is a very wise person in terms of education and politics. If he is made a minister in the BNP government, the country and the nation will improve.

Upazila BNP member secretary Khalequzzaman Bablu said, if AKM Fazlul Haque Milon is made a minister, the people of Gazipur-5 Kaliganj will be respected. If AKM Fazlul Haque Milon is given an important ministry in the new cabinet, Kaliganj will develop greatly.

The way AKM Fazlul Haque Milon is working for the people will be further accelerated. Gazipur District BNP Convening Committee member Md. Khairul Ahsan Mintu said, if AKM Fazlul Haque Milon is made a minister, Kaliganj will develop a lot. He will take Kaliganj forward with his honesty and talent.

To accelerate the basic development of the people of the country, it is necessary to give AKM Fazlul Haque Milon an important ministry. I demand from the new government to include AKM Fazlul Haque Milon in the cabinet.
