Preparation meeting to celebrate Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day in Fulchhari

A preparatory meeting was held in Fulchhari, Gaibandha to celebrate Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day 2026 with due dignity.

The meeting, held at the Fulchhari Upazila Parishad conference room at 11 am on Monday (February 16), discussed in detail the overall preparations to celebrate the day in a fair, disciplined and solemn atmosphere. The meeting was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mostafizur Rahman.

Speaking at the time, Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr. Zahirul Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Mintu Mia, Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Principal Maulana Sirajul Islam Akand, Upazila Social Service Officer Monowar Hossain, Upazila Engineer Touhidul Karim, Upazila Rural Development Officer Sohel Rana, Upazila Education Officer Masumul Islam, Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary Maulana Abul Khair, Upazila Workers Welfare Federation President Abdul Khalek, Upazila Press Club President Aminul Haque, Kanchipara Union Parishad Panel Chairman Azad Mia, Udakhali Union Parishad Panel Chairman Kabil Uddin and other concerned persons were present.

The meeting paid tribute to the memory of the language martyrs, held a discussion meeting and exchanged views on the implementation of various programs.

The speakers said that the sacrifice of the language martyrs is a proud chapter in the history of the nation. It is important to celebrate the day meaningfully to highlight the importance of the mother tongue to the new generation.

The meeting was attended by officials, representatives and concerned persons from various departments. The meeting called for a concerted effort by all to fulfill their responsibilities so that the day can be celebrated with dignity.
