Finally,after almost three decades, political change has come to the 300-Bandarban constituency.The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has captured the seat after winning by a huge margin.Bnp Nominated Candidate Prince Saching Prue Jerry has secured victory in the 13th National Parliament election in Bandarban-300 by a record number of votes.

Among the final results from 187 centers including postal ballot centers,Bnp Nominated parliamentary candidate Saching Prue Jerry received 141,455 votes.while his nearest rival National Citizen Party (NCP) candidate Abu Sayed Md Sujauddin received 26,162 votes.

Shamim Ara Rini,the Deputy Commissioner of Bandarban and the Returning Officer of 300-Bandarban for the 13th National Parliament Election announced the results of the election on Thursday night.The percentage of votes cast in the election results was 57.35 percent.Meanwhile,the results of the referendum held on the same day showed a different picture.The ‘No’ vote won the referendum.The results showed that 90,156 “No” votes were cast and 71,417 “Yes” votes were cast.

On Thursday morning Saching prue Jerry a candidate for the Paddy Sheaf cast his vote at the Bandarban Government Adarsh ​​Primary School center.Mujibur Rashid,chief election agent of BNP candidate Saching Pru Jerry,thanked everyone involved in the voting process and congratulated party leaders,activists and supporters.

It is known that,the total number of voters in the latest Bandarban-300 constituency in Bangladesh is 3 lakh 15 thousand 422 people.There are 1 lakh 61 thousand 775 male voters and 1 lakh 53 thousand 647 female voters.Voting was held simultaneously in 7 upazilas,2 municipalities and 34 unions of the district.
