Former MP Alhaj Lutfar Rahman Kajal, the BNP-nominated paddy sheaf candidate from Cox’s Bazar-3 constituency in the 13th National Parliament election, said that the most neglected areas of Cox’s Bazar district are Kachchhpia, Gorjania and Eidgarh unions.

The quality of education, healthcare, communication, employment and agriculture in these areas has been in a very fragile state for a long time.

He said these things at a huge public meeting in the traditional Faizul Ulum Fazil (Degree) Madrasa ground of Kachchhpia union in Ramu upazila on tuesday (February 4).

Lutfar Rahman Kajal said that if the people elect him by voting on paddy sheaf on February 12, he will make every effort for the overall development of these three neglected unions.

His door will always be open for the common people and he will be by their side in any problem.

He specifically said that he will try to take effective initiatives at the state level to stop illegal activities in the areas bordering Myanmar and to ensure border corridors or trade facilities to facilitate legitimate trade and communication.

At the same time, stating that the need of the hour is not to establish a college, but a full-fledged university in the Kachchhpia region, he said that he will sincerely cooperate in building such an educational institution.

The meeting held under the chairmanship of Kachchhpia Union BNP President Syed Alam, was addressed by District BNP Joint General Secretary Akhtarul Alam Chowdhury, District Jubo Dal Vice President and Election Steering Committee Responsible Leader Nezam Uddin, along with local and district level leaders.

The meeting was chaired by Kachchhpia Union BNP General Secretary Maimunul Haque Mamun.

After the meeting, a group of leaders and activists joined the BNP under the leadership of Kabir Ahmed Sawdagar, leader of the Workers’ Welfare Federation, an organ of Jamaat-e-Islami.
