In Taltoli, Barguna, it has been alleged that a woman was gang-raped by Hiron Hawlader, who lured her into a love trap and lured her into marriage, and brought her to the house of four men. The incident took place on Tuesday night in Barapara village of Panchakorlia union of the upazila. The woman was rescued by the police around 11:30 am on Wednesday and taken to the police station. A case is being prepared in this incident.

It is reported that in mid-January, the woman from Taltoli upazila village went to work in a fish processing factory in the Mohipur area of ​​Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali. There, she met Hiron, son of Manik Hawlader of Panchakorlia union of the upazila, and a friendship developed.

At one stage, Hiron proposed marriage to her. Last Friday, Hiron took the woman and her mother to Kuakata and held a meeting about the marriage. Later, Hiron spoke to the family and assured them of a quick marriage. On Tuesday afternoon, Hiron brought her (the woman) from Mahipur to his house in the Barapara area of ​​Panchakorlia union in Taltoli upazila.

That night, Hiron and three others threatened to kill her, forcibly gang-raped her and brutally tortured her. The woman sneakily left the house and took shelter next to a mosque. The worshippers of the mosque saw her early on Wednesday. Later, the woman narrated the entire incident to them.

Upon receiving the information, the Taltoli police station rescued the woman and took her to the police station. The incident created extreme anger and excitement in the area. Preparations for a case are underway in this incident. She will be sent to Barguna General Hospital for a medical examination.

Hiron and his accomplices fled the area immediately after the incident. The victim said that she met Hiran while working as a fish processor in a dry village in Mahipur. Later, he lured her into love and promised to marry her. On Tuesday afternoon, Hiran brought her to his house. That night, Hiran and three other accomplices forcibly gang-raped her multiple times. To escape their torture, I cleverly escaped and took shelter next to a mosque.

She also said that they tortured me physically. If I had not escaped, they would have killed me. I want justice for this incident. Some people who did not want to be named said that Hiran has been raping and torturing several women for a long time by luring them with love and tempting them to marry him.

If anyone protested, they were threatened with false cases. No one dared to protest against him due to fear of the case. They also said that Hiran has multiple wives. Local devotee Faruk said, after Fajr prayers, he came out and saw a woman sitting and crying next to the mosque. When asked, she said that a man named Hirun brought her and raped her all night with four men. Taltali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ashadur Rahman said that after receiving the news, police were sent to the spot, rescued the woman and brought her to the police station.

The process of registering a case is underway in view of the complaint. He also said that the woman will be sent to Barguna General Hospital for a medical examination.
