Army Chief in Cox’s Bazar: Instructions to perform duties through citizen-friendly behavior

Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman visited Cox’s Bazar area on the occasion of the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum-2026.

During the visit, the Army Chief exchanged views with senior military officers, various law enforcement agencies and civil administration officials at the conference room of the BIAM Foundation Regional Center on Thursday.

ISPR said that during the exchange of views, inter-institutional coordination and overall security management were discussed to ensure the upcoming National Parliament Elections are conducted peacefully, impartially and fairly.

The Army Chief laid special emphasis on performing duties through professionalism, impartiality, discipline, patience and citizen-friendly behavior. In addition, during the visit, he observed the activities of the army personnel deployed under the ‘In Aid to the Civil Power’ and provided necessary guidance.

During the visit to the Cox’s Bazar area, General Officer Commanding, Army Training and Doctrine Command; GOC, 10 Infantry Division and Area Commander, Cox’s Bazar Area; Air Officer Commanding, Bangladesh Air Force Base Cox’s Bazar; Military Secretary of the Army and senior military officers of the Army Headquarters and Cox’s Bazar Area, as well as Chittagong Divisional Commissioner, senior officers of the civil administration and law enforcement agencies and representatives of various media were present.
